Tour n. 6 Wine & Truffle Tour in The Comino Valley

7.00   am            Pick-up from your Hotel in Rome and departure for Alvito.

9.00   am            Arrival in Alvito and guided visit to the ancient historical centre, once Dukedom of the Borbonic State:

                            We will visit the ruin of the medieval castle and the well-preserved medieval burgh with a marvellous view of the Valley.

10.30 pm            Visit to the ancient “pasticceria” in the town historical centre, famous for its home-made torroni produced since 1850.

10.00  am           Our guided visit continues with the Ducal Palace (XVI century) with the private theatre built by the Gallio Family and the Church of St. Simeone with

                             beautiful paintings by the Neapolitan School of XVIII century

12.30  pm            Lunch will be in a 19th century Old Villa to taste the products of the valley:

2.30 pm               Guided visit to the Trufferie  to learn about the methods of preparation and conservation of  the precious truffle.

                             Truffle hunting with a Truffle Farmer and His Dog

                             The owner offers the possibility of tasting and buying directly White & Black Truffle and truffles products directly at a much lower price than the stores or

                             gourmet shops.

4.30 pm              Guided visit to a magnificent Olive Farm Winery. The owner  love welcoming personally the guests to his property, explaining all the wine producing process, from    

                             the vineyard to the cellar, as the oil producing process from the olive grove to the oil mill.

                             After a guided visit to the wineyard & vinery  it’s a great to relax by the swimming pool and taste the cabernet doc wines with local cheeses & products of the valley.

7.00 pm               Departure for Rome or extend your tour in this enchanting Valley!

Prices and terms of payment

Prices vary according to the number of participants: For example for 15 pax the price is  just 85 euros per person for the whole day including Truffle & Wine Tastings.
